The 30 Day Giving Challenge 2010

The 30 30-Day Giving ChallengeDay Giving Challenge started today! I also found out about it for the first time this morning.ย  It actually started last November, but I never caught wind of it as I was always so focused on either Take Root and Write or Christian Women Affiliate. This is a perfect example of why I have wanted to start my personal spot on the web.

I am posting this quick to let you know about the 30 Day Giving Challenge. I have already ‘liked’ theย  30 Day Giving Facebook Page. They have a Blog Frog Community as well, but I am not sure I have time to get over there. Coming in late to the challenge, my 30 days of giving will most likely be very practical in the sense of planning. But isn’t that how the day to day should be anyway? Giving should be an every day extension. We are always presented with opportunities to give. It might be time, money, effort, emotionally, physically… it’s there, just open your eyes and heart.

I will be leaving on November 19, for a road trip to NYC for 9 days, so will be fun finding ways to give on the road. We are driving so this Orlando family can catch some actual fall leaves on our journey!

Join me, in the challenge ๐Ÿ™‚ not the NYC trip. Sorry but our car is full. ๐Ÿ™‚

Give, and you will receive. You will be given much. Pressed down, shaken together, and running over, it will spill into your lap. The way you give to other’s is the way God will give to you.ย  ~ Luke 6:38

  1. Noelle,
I’ve been working on putting together a project today that will allow others to give to a church in Battambang Cambodia. They had land donated to them and now need the money to build a building they can call their church. In faith someone drew up the plans for the building for them. All they need is $2000 to build the building. Right now they are meeting in the open air and they don’t mind….

I’m excited for them and encouraged by their faith!! I saw this after I had already started putting everything together for my project. Great timing!

  2. @Katie & @ Jennifer, yes will take some creative thinking or hey, God Inspiration to experience giving on the road. Some how, I don’t think we will lack opportunities. ๐Ÿ™‚

@Cherie, I can’t wait to see your project. We in America are so spoiled! I am excited that the people of Cambodia will have a new building to attend service!

  3. That is such a great concept! And I think sometimes time is the hardest thing to give! At least for me. Mainly because my selfishness gets in the way, but if I really took time to evaluate how I spend my time and money, in compared to the needs all around me, I think I’d be embarrassed.
